Philosophy Statement

We, the staff, students and community of Evangeline Middle School, are philosophically committed to the goals of middle level education. We believe the intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of students are priorities for our school. We believe students shall be involved in and share the responsibility for their learning. We believe all stakeholders have a responsibility to provide for these needs within a physically and psychologically secure environment. We believe programs which focus on the wholeness of learning should facilitate the transition from childhood to adulthood. We believe a wide variety of learning opportunities, both social and academic, are needed to develop sound minds and bodies.
